Senior Statistical Programmer -Observational Studies
Major Bio-tech company based in Middlesex
6 Month rolling contract
Our client is a leading Fortune 500, Biotechnology Company. With headquarters in the USA, our client employs over 500 staff^in their UK offices, located in Middlesex and Cambridge on both a permanent and contract basis.
A market leader, our client strives to develop products that change people's lives and in the last 30 years have transformed the management of anaemia, inflammation, and cancer. They have a thriving pipeline and are currently very active in recruiting candidates to join the team on a contract basis.
This instrumental role will be based in Middlesex for an initial period of six months, with the^possibility of extension beyond, and which really focuses your experience of SAS to implement complex data step logic within large databases across observational research/epidemiology. This experience is fundamental to the success of this project so^you must be confident in you abilities in SAS programming at this level.
As a Senior SAS Programmer your duties will include;
Epidemiology Programming using SAS
Excellent data analysis and reporting skills
Advanced skills in program validation
Expert in output verification
Project planning and management
Essential Skills & Qualifications Required
Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or other subject with high statistical content
Statistical Programming using SAS v 9.1.3
Proven SAS programming expertise in the BASE, STAT, GRAPH, Macro and SQL modules
Experience with observational data sets is essential for this role.
Knowledge of working in a global environment would be an advantage as would clinical research knowledge
Significant relevant career experience
Software Competence Required
- Intermediate SWORD, - Intermediate EXCEL, - Intermediate Powerpoint
- SAS BASE, STAT, GRAPH, MACRO and SQL modules
