Scientific Advisor
A superb opportunity to diversify your knowledge of medical information, scientific advice, claim support or corporate compliance within^a wider FMCG environment working for a household name which inspires confidence and leads the field in several Health & Beauty Care and luxury product areas.
We'd like to attract candidates who have an eye for detail and commercial acumen/flair for our client's position. You may be currently working within the H&BC environment, OTC, device or ethical product arena. You'll want a full time role which will provide a high level of authority and visible responsibility. If you are in sales you will already have a prior knowledge of the H&BC brands and regulations to qualify. If you'veworked for Boots Plc, Procter & Gamble, Stiefel, or another cosmetic or healthcare company you will be particularly suited to this opportunity.
Responsibilities will include:
To provide robust and compliant scientific claim support for one or more product categories in the UK/Eire region. Functioning as a lead on projects you will liaise with relevant brand teams, R&D, media, advertising and regulatory bodies daily.
You will check and approve packaging artwork, press releases, advertorials and other media advertising and work with media agencies and marketing to assist in the development of product claims. Sometimes you'll provide dossiersto the print media and broadcast advertising control authorities as required to substantiate advertising claims and support product launches training marketing personnel on technicalities of product information, claims and safety. Part of the role will involve more traditional aspects such as database maintenance concerning product characteristics and support customer enquiries.
Qualification:
Honours Degree in a Biomedical Science.
Excellent command of the English language and its subtleties. A second EU language e.g. French, German would be an asset.
Articulate, able to express ideas and concepts fluently and persuasively both orally and in writing.
Ability to understand scientific material, internalise it rapidly and translating it into simple consumer language.
Open to reception of new ideas and willing to explorealternatives.
Confident and resilient enough to be able to stick to and justify opinion once having listened openly to all alternative arguments.
Passionateabout communicating new concepts, ideas and knowledge.
High degree of analytical skills and creativity..
Strong interpersonal skills and capable of building effective stakeholder relationships.
Must be a team player who can pays attention to detail as well as looking at the wider picture.
