Staff in clinical research jobs at Sanofi Pasteur are to be assisted in conducting drug trials by clinical solutions provider Perceptive Informatics, as part of a new agreement.
The Parexel subsidiary has announced that it has been chosen as Sanofi Pasteur's preferred provider of randomisation and trial supply management (RTSM) technologies.
This means that the vaccines specialist will be utilising Perceptive's RTSM solutions to increase the efficiency of its clinical trial organisation, allowing it to process patient data and investigator inquiries more quickly.
According to Steve Kent, president of Perceptive Informatics, this will allow Sanofi Pasteur to achieve "greater cost savings, more robust inventory control and better optimised supply chain processes".
He added: "Perceptive is pleased to provide Sanofi Pasteur with our dedicated expertise and innovation."
Earlier this week, Perceptive's parent company Parexel announced plans to expand its presence in the Asia-Pacific region via the establishment of a new office in Nagoya, Japan.
