Contract research organisation (CRO) Wickham Laboratories will be able to house its staff in CRO jobs at a newly purchased facility in Hampshire.
The company has completed the acquisition of Wyeth's former facilities in Gosport, which includes six buildings with laboratory and office space, warehousing provision and a clean room complex all provided.
It will be known as Hoeford Point and will be refurbished prior to Wickham Laboratories occupying the site, which will be fully operational within the next six months.
According to the company, this purchase will help Wickham Laboratories to maintain its recent growth and strengthen its position as a leading global CRO.
Technical director Chris Bishop said: "The expansion has been long planned and will put us in a position of strength to take the company forward, continuing to provide vital services to the medicine, healthcare and food industries."
The company currently employs around 100 members of staff, with half of these workers being of graduate status or above.
