Start looking for a new role as quickly as possible. Even if you will get a redundancy package, it is easier to be re-employed if you have the shortest possible break. You can often negotiate a break prior to starting but get the job first! Market conditions are such that unless you have 'alternate support', gap periods are to be avoided.
