Permanent Contracts Manager role within growing Japanese Pharma Company. The company is opening a new European Knowledge Centre in 2009 so it is an exciting time to join. In this role you will lead and manage activities related to the outsourcing ofclinical services, supporting the implementation and management of global outsourcing processes and tracking budgets, savings, metrics and audit status and performance of external suppliers.
Your duties will include: Coordinating Requests for Proposal, CRO presentations, budget analysis, and service provider selection; clarifying scope of work, budget, timelines, roles and responsibilities with internal teams; tracking status of active and completed contracts; ensuring terms, conditions, milestones and payments schedules are adhered to; supporting project teams in the identification and resolution of performance issues; negotiating change orders/amendments to contracts; liaising closely with the Legal department with respect to contractual terms and other legal/financial documents required and timelines for finalisation of agreements; maintaining knowledge on service provider services and capabilities and industry trends; act as a point of contact for service provider business contacts; liaising closely as needed with US affiliates with regards to specific contract requirements for global projects/studies.
Qualifications: First degree a minimum, second degree or CIPS qualification desirable. Previous relevant experience of managing clinical contracts within the pharmaceutical industry or within the CRO environment to include experience in: negotiation of contracts with CROs, technical service providers, consultants etc. Good written and oral communication skills, ability to influence/persuade others, flexible and proactive.
