Our client is the world's leading independent organisation dedicated to the research in cancer aetiology and treatment, they spend over £257 million a year into the treatment, prevention and understanding of different types of cancer. The unit employs ca 65 staff and also does diagnostic studies. If you would like to influence trial conduct and manage trial delivery from design of protocols to delivering published work then the current vacancies for Study Managers might appeal.

Duties:

Manage and oversee Phase I/II clinical trials within a matrix structure to agreed timelines
Develop and maintain good working relations with investigators, site staff, third party vendors and pharmaceutical companies where appropriate
Project planning, feasibility, design and start up management
Ensuring regulatory and corporate governance compliance
Mentoring and supervising site management staffing
Process review and SOP development
Study agreements, budgets and plan delivery

Qualifications and Experience

Essentials

Biological Sciences degree or equivalent nursing qualification/ experience
A minimum of 2 years working experience in managing clinical trials

Desirables

Experience in project managing early phase clinical trials.
Oncology experience.
Budget management experience.
Contract negotiation experience.
