BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER UK - FIELD BASED

You^will be responsible for the identification and procurement of business across Europe and for the creation and implementation of a strategic sales and marketing plans.
As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for-
- Securing new^business and maintaining relationships with identified sponsors in accordance with annual sales targets and objectives
-Foster business growth with existing clients, cultivate relationships and recruit new business with new clients in a consultative selling process
-Maintain regular contact with sponsors, knowing all aspects of their business, key personnel and new business opportunities thereby gaining RFPs and RFIs when issued
-Manage and maintain accurate and current client information and data in the customer lead database
-Work closely with Clinical Operations team on key proposals and strategic client initiatives
-Co-ordinate and prepare client focused proposals and budgets for new and existing business opportunities within given timeframes
-Liaise with the appropriate internal personnel, throughout the proposal generation process to ensure that client specific strategy is adhered to
-Attend bid defence and other client meetings in a lead role
-Review market analysis to^determine client needs and be a source of competitive and industry news
-Attend and represent our client at industry meetings and conferences, as appropriate and budgeted
-Co-ordinate and execute presentations relative to company capabilities and services
-Assist in writing and / or translating sales and marketing materials, which include articles, presentations, brochures, website pages and other sales and marketing collateral
Candidate Profile:
Bachelor's degree in Science, Life Science, Business
Proven sales experience in a Clinical Research Organisation and excellent knowledge of contract clinical research
Strong self starter who is target driven and thrives on success - track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
A strong passion for networking on an international level
Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels in and outside the company
Ability to develop effective cross-functional relationships
Excellent communicator with strong presentation and negotiation skills
Ability to be flexible and to adapt and work effectively with a variety of situations or individuals
Professional who is experienced and dependable with enthusiasm and a positive attitude
