Associate Director - Compliance

Our client is an international pharmaceutical company who markets products in more than 100 countries around the^world. Currently employing over 4000 people globally, including over 100 people in the UK alone, our client specializes in research in specialty areas such as analgesia and pain and also manufactures products across a wide range of additional therapy^areas. Client offices are based in Buckinghamshire and are modern and spacious with car parking available.
Job Summary
My client is seeking an Associate Director, Compliance to ensure that all ABPI-related SOPs, policies and procedures are ethical, adequate, effective, and conform with the UK pharmaceutical industry's practices and Government regulations.
The successful candidate will be fully office based with some occasional European travel required. Working closely with HR, they will also be responsible for ensuring that all internal staff remain knowledgeable and compliant at all times with the ABPI COP and attend training sessions as necessary.
With Excellent communication skills, the successful candidate will work together with Head Office and staff to represent the UK to external bodies, such as the MHRA for all compliance matters. A pro active approach to task will be essential, to remain updated on changes and updates to legislation, codes and practices.
Essential Skills & Qualification
Relevant university degree/qualification
Significant pharmaceutical industry experience in compliance related to the ABPI Code and Blue Guide
Detailed knowledge of all applicable rules and regulations relating to the pharmaceutical industry with particular reference to the ABPI Code and the MHRA Blue Guide
Excellent eye for detail
Previous experience of or familiarity with the PMCPA or MHRA
Leadership skills and experience gained in the training and development^of others.
